Today is Superbowl Sunday! Let’s salute our love for football.

Love comes in many forms, some include Football.

Besides each other,  many of our engagement and then wedding couples share a great love for their favorite football teams. And in some cases not the same team which makes for some fun lighthearted rivalries. In Western New York we have many die hard card carrying members of the Buffalo Bills Mafia who meet and fall in love with their significant others from other passionate fan bases. No two cities love their football teams more than Buffalo and Philadelphia. Just ask Jackie and Jim White. Their love triumphs over the love they have for their beloved Bills and Eagles.

Lauren Loves Josh and the Buffalo Bills. Josh on the other hand roots for the Dallas Cowboys. This one can sting a little for Lauren since the Cowboys beat the Bills twice in back to back Superbowl games in the 1990’s. Lauren got home field advantage for their engagement session however. We shot it the the Theatre district in downtown Buffalo.

For those of us old enough to remember, one of the greatest quarterback rivalries of all time had to be Jim Kelly of the Buffalo Bills and Dan Marino of the Miami Dolphins. They faced each other twice a year and multiple times in the NFL playoffs. That brings us to Stephanie and Matt. Their football rivalry pits Stephanie’s love for Her Bills in her number 12 Kelly jersey vs. Matt’s Miami Dolphins and Dan Marino’s number 13. This fun shot was taken down by the Niagara river in Lewiston NY.

And then there are the couples that share a special mutual love for the same team. And in the 716 that means the Buffalo Bills. I love this shot of Katie and Adam from their engagement session in Clarence NY.

Of course showing love and support for your favorite team is something some couples want to share on their wedding day as well. We took Jena and Kyle inside the Bills store at New Era Field for some fun shots. Jena’s wedding dress was stunning, so needless to say she got lots of attention from store patrons as she sashayed through the isles.

Katie was a member of the Buffalo Jills NFL cheerleading team so one of the wedding day photo stops had to be New Era Field where she cheered. This image of Katie and Adam was captured in front of the stadium.

Erika  and Scott were lucky enough to gain access to the playing field at the Home of the Bills they both love. The wedding party ran around the field like excited school children at recess while we worked with Scott and Erika.

Lisa too, was a Buffalo Bills cheerleader at New Era Field for many years. Unfortunately her and her groom Patrick  had heavy rain on their wedding day. Making the best of a bad situation we worked in the tunnel entrance to the field and in the giant field house adjacent to the stadium. The field house made a fitting backdrop also as it is where Lisa and the Jills held their practices. Sharing common interests is key to a healthy love relationship. Sharing the love of football is a popular one in this town!
