The love of a great celebration.

Who doesn’t love a good party?

Wedding receptions can be forgettable or create memories that will be remembered for a lifetime. Some of the variables that make up a great wedding celebration include fun family and friends, a good DJ or band to keep the party going and of course a little alcohol sprinkled in for good measure. Craziness was the order of the day at Kayleigh and Nick’s raucous wedding reception at Pearl at the Web in Buffalo. If you grease a poll someone will attempt to climb it at this party!

Take a wild look at these!

If you want to guarantee a great party at your wedding celebration hold it on New Years Eve. As true as this is Zabrina and Frankie’s reception at Asbury Hall was over the top. As one would guess the festivities reached its crescendo as the clock struck midnight. Confetti canons blasted streamers across the dance floor from the balcony. The multitude of revelers jumping for joy as the confetti rained down on top of them.

It was amazing that amidst the chaos Zabrina and Frankie found my camera and gave me a smile and a raise of the glass./wedding-celebration-photo

New Years Eve was also the setting for the wedding reception of Nicole and Joe. Their family and friends had a front row seat to the Buffalo New Years Eve Ball drop from the Electric Tower. The floor to ceiling windows of the mezzanine level in the Hyatt Regency hotel provided the perfect view of the fireworks celebration.

Night is when the party really begins.

The final celebration scenario can have spectacular results, but often does not. I’m talking about the release of Chinese lanterns in the night sky. To get it right every element needs to fall into place. First off,  you need  many willing guests. They need the dexterity to hold the lantern long enough for it to fill up with hot air from the flame to rise up into the air. Most people let go too soon and the ill fated craft limps along the ground burning itself up in the process. If it’s windy your in real trouble. I’ve seen errant lanterns flying into crowded parking lots and crashing onto roofs. I’m sure this is why these lanterns are now outlawed in New York State.  However, when it works the photographs can be spectacular. This image is from Stacie and Scott’s wedding at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville NY.
