Senior Portraits part II. Pleasures and Pastimes.

Celebrate your personal passion.

We always encourage our students to share their interests with us so we can create a theme for their senior portrait session. The best way to get them exited about the shoot is to include what it is that makes them happy. Today’s seniors passions are wide reaching. It doesn’t matter what you’re in to, just celebrate it!

A hunting we will go

A few of our seniors are avid sportsmen and women.  Rifles, shotguns, and compound bows all make great props for these sessions. We love to shoot on location for an authentic feel. It’s also a lot safer when firing a shotgun.

Although it’s not a real gun, Erin is very skilled member of her school drill team at Orchard Park senior high.

Others enjoy the more tranquil pastime of fishing on a quiet lake. Here’s Jeff on a dock at Green lake in Orchard Park.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Most teenage boys have an interest in fast and expensive sports cars or even hoping a train,  but only a few can say they have their pilots licence.  Joshua is passionate about flying so Prior Aviation is the setting for his senior portraits. Also in this set is Joe posing with his Dad’s Mercedes and Hunter straddling a couple of boxcars at the Orchard Park RR museum.

I love this next shot of Jordan who is a great hip-hop dancer. We shot her in the hip and artsy Allentown neighborhood of Buffalo. The wall mural was a perfect backdrop.

The book worm.

It’s great when reading is still the favorite pastime of a high school student. Luka loves to read. He has amassed quite an extensive collection of books. I wanted to do something creative and fun with what can be considered a mundane activity by some. Most of the work in these images was done on the computer in Photoshop.
