The Mansion at Knox Farm. A look back at 2019 wedding photography.

It’s January 2020, and that means it’s time to pause and take a look back at FCI Photography weddings from 2019.  Our first look back is a wedding at the spacious and beautiful Mansion at Knox  Farm.

All in the family

This couple is dear to our hearts. Jacob is my nephew and Casey is his beautiful bride. Some say don’t work for family, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.  We are twice blessed in 2019 as my niece Courtney gets married a month later. Of course FCI is on the scene for that one too. Jake and Casey hit the jackpot with the weather at this outdoor wedding venue. It’s sunny and warm with low humidity and a nice breeze. Both the bride and groom got ready on site in the “mansion”. This building was originally the summer home of the wealthy Knox family in the early 20th century.

The Knox mansion is 14,000 square ft. and sits on 633 acres. An ideal setting for Jake and Casey’s storybook wedding. I love working inside this old building because it lends itself to a vintage style of wedding photography that I love.

Casey makes a stunning bride with assistance from her hairdresser Formellebyhollee and her makeup artist Katie from Ktvd_beauty.

633 acres is a lot of space to work with. The gently rolling hills make a great backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. Casey and her Dad John make the long scenic journey from the mansion to the wedding arbor.  Casey and Jake seal the deal with a kiss and make the walk back to the mansion as husband and wife.

Behind the mansion at Knox farm is a stand of Birch trees that remind me of my favorite locations. The Adirondack Mountains.

Knox farm in East Aurora New York has hundreds of acres of grasslands full of wild flowers at different times of the year.

Not only is their wedding cake pretty to look at, it is also delicious. We highly recommend the Chubby Chix Cakery. 

As I mentioned this was a family affair, so I would be remiss if I didn’t include a gratuitous fun dance floor pic.

It was a wonderful Memorial day weekend spent with friends and family at Knox farm.  Here is one last kiss between Casey and Jacob.
