April weddings in Buffalo means dodging April showers
Angela and Thomas, April 1, 2017
Fisher Creative Image Photography had two weddings in April 2017 and both required some luck and timing to get in the outdoor photographs. Our first wedding was April 1st with Angela and Tom. After a wedding ceremony at St. Louis RC Church on Main Street in Buffalo, a rainy day led us to the Ellicott Square Building downtown. This got us some beautiful indoor portraits of the families and the bridal party. From there we headed down to the outer harbor Gallagher Pier, hoping the weather would break.
Just as we were taking the last few pictures, the clouds parted and the sun came out for a great shot of Angela and Tom on the waterfront. A wedding reception capped off the day, held in the spectacularly decorated Alexandria Room at St. Cyril and Methody on Lake Avenue in Blasdell, N.Y. The animated D.J. Dennis from C.J Sound kept the party alive while creating a wonderful atmosphere.

Christine and David, April 15, 2017
The second April wedding was with Christine and David. Once again, the day started with heavy rain that lasted from our shoot at the bride’s home, to the first look, held at the Hampton Inn on Delaware Avenue in Buffalo. After, we traveled uptown to the History Museum on Museum Court while hoping for clearer skies. Like the last time, the weather gods smiled upon us and as a result, we captured another wonderful photo shoot with the bridal party due to the brilliant sunshine.
The wedding ceremony and reception was held at a wonderful venue, Babeville (Asbury Hall) on Delaware Avenue. It was a great party due to the two fun filled families and entertainment by Moving Music and D.J. Tony. This made for another amazing month for us, even if the weather did not cooperate 100% of the time.
