More about Dexter and Kane

We first adopted Dexter (formerly Ben Johnson) almost a year and a half ago as an eight week old puppy. He has since grown up to be a beautiful and very smart dog. He is a pure joy to have in our family.

We never had two dogs before, but Dexter was so perfect we decided to add to our family. Of course we went back to Joyful Rescues where we adopted Kane (formerly Howie Hoosier), our beautiful white shepherd. It took Dexter and Kane one day to become best friends and brothers. They are truly inseparable. They play together and sleep together. Recently, Kane hurt his leg jumping and Dexter has been a great big brother by licking him and lying down next to him when Kane had trouble getting around for a few days. We couldn’t be happier with our rescue dogs and highly recommend Joyful Rescues to anyone looking to provide a loving forever home to a deserving pet.
